What is PPPoker?
With over 100 million poker players worldwide, there’s little reason not to try your hand at a chance for gambling success. While conventional poker remains one of the more popular options for gaming fanatics, the online world has produced several alternatives for players to enjoy — especially considering the COVID-19 restrictions that’ve impacted in-person gaming.
Of these, you may have heard of PPPoker. With various opportunities for players to earn prizes through nothing else but their smartphones, it’s an exciting option for players of any skill. Read on to learn how to get started.
Available on iOS, Windows and Android devices, PPPoker is an online app that offers Texas Hold ‘Em, Pot-Limit Omaha and Short Deck Hold ‘Em — though the developers regularly put out updates with new features and games. As expected, many of these games offer digital and real-life prizes, some of which cost nothing to enjoy.
Clubs and Unions
PPPoker boasts a diverse range of ways for players to earn winnings through its Clubs and Unions feature. Here’s a rundown of how each element operates:
- Clubs: Reminiscent of a real-life poker club, Clubs ask players to pay club owners directly in exchange for PP Chips — the value of which will be determined by club owners individually. If a player would like to cash out their PP Chips at the end of a game, the club owner will collect the PP Chips from their accounts and send them real-life payment in return.
- Unions: Unions are, essentially, a collection of multiple Clubs united under one agreement: that they will honor losses and wins experienced by all Clubs within the Union, rather than individually, with the main benefit being an increased player pool size.
Payment
At the end of the week, Clubs will pay PPPoker a share of Diamonds in exchange for a report on their Club, which covers data from profits and losses, rakes, table creation and more.
At this point, Clubs will also pay players their earnings. However, should Club A receive only $1,000 in chips while owing $1,500 in player payouts, the owner will be $500 under. This is where the value of Unions comes into play, as that Union’s Club B — which netted $500 in profits — can send their funds to Club A to balance out the loss.
How to Get Started
After downloading PPPoker from your device’s designated app store, follow these steps to set up your free account:
- Register for an account.
- Update your display name and profile picture.
- Register for a game using player money (the app’s free in-game currency).
Now, if you want to play PPPoker using real money, you’ll need to join a Club. Here’s how:
- Find a Club you’d like to join. This can be from a friend, a Facebook group or wherever else you discover fellow gaming fanatics. Though, it’s important to remember the owner should be someone you trust — they’ll be handling your winnings, after all.
- Using the in-app search option, type in the ID number of the Club and apply to join.
- Once accepted, contact your Club owner to fund your account, and enjoy!
